About Judy

I
have enjoyed photography since I was 10 years old when my Dad, an avid
photographer, gave me my first
camera. I took quite a few family and pet
snapshots and travel photos through the years, but I wasn't too serious
about film photography. Digital photography opened up a whole new world of wonders and the freedom to shoot as much as I wanted and at any time since I wouldn't have to worry about taking up a whole roll of film. I enjoy photo editing to make my photos look their best and am not adverse to a little creative artistic enhancement either. My main focus is nature and landscape photography. My favorite subjects are birds, animals, fall color, flowers, old homes, and scenic landscapes. You can see most of my images at my ImageEvent site and others at my main Southern Exposures site. I am an active member of the Oktibbeha Audubon Society and I created and maintain their new website. My photo of a Northern Cardinal was the overall winner of the Great Backyard Bird Count photo contest in 2008! You can see it here.My photos have been included in several exhibits at the Arts Center and our local Mississippi University for Women. I have taught digital photography classes at Mississippi University for Women as continuing education courses for several years and I also teach classes at the Rosenzweig Arts Center. I offer one-on-one tutoring in your home for computer skills, digital photography, Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. In addition, I restore old photos, fix problem photos, make custom DVD slide shows and offer other digital imaging services through my Heritage Photos site . |
